Chemically, diamond is a mineral composed of carbon with sometimes traces of nitrogen (up to 0.20%) and a minute amount of other foreign elements. Diamonds were formed over 3 billion years ago deep within the Earth’s crust under conditions of intense heat and pressure which cause carbon atoms to crystallize forming diamonds.
Diamonds are typically found at a depth of approx. 150-200km below the surface of the Earth. With temperatures average 900 to 1,300 degrees Celsius and at a pressure of 45 to 60 kilobars(which is around 50,000 times that of atmospheric pressure on the Earth’s surface), these conditions are perfect for molten lamproite and kimberlite (also known as magma) to forme within the Earth’s upper mantle and expand at a rapid rate. This expansion leads to an eruption of magma onto the Earth’s surface, carrying the diamond bearing rocks within its molten current. Moving at an incredible speed, the magma takes the path of least resistance and forming a ‘pipe’ to the surface.
TransCommerce Korea Ltd. directly imports the rough diamond from different reputable locations around the world, ranging from Africa, and the Diamond Trading Centre in Antwerp, Dubai, Surat. Upon receiving the rough diamond, its journey to refinement will be through a delicate process from a Korean diamond cutter and polisher in Jeju, Korea.
We aim to process all diamonds and refine them to the highest level of "excellent" cut grade. These diamonds will then be distributed to the diamond jewellery companies in Korea and also overseas.
TransCommerce Korea Ltd. will be developing its own brand of diamond jewellery in Korea. We will try our best to promote our brand to become 'Le Premier Pro-priétaire'.
As we know that the rough diamond has been waiting for more than 3 billion years for the rightful owner, we will ensure that our masterclass designs and pursuit of unquestionable customer satisfaction will be the ultimate goal, not to be second best.
